Ok, let's see if I am amble to make a tutorial. Lots of people asking me about tutorials, but somehow I have a feeling I am not good in dividing my creative process into steps and describing them.
Step 1
Download this picture and prepare A4 sheet of paper or thin card that your printer not gonna choke on (like mine does 2 in 3 tries). You can also print the pic on paper and cut all the shapes to outline them on thicker cardboard. I had some of silver glitter paper about 300 gsm density and it worked fine! So print or outline the pic from the link above on the back side of the sheet and cut out all elements
Step 2
Now its time to fold the spikes to give them 3D look. To make it easier, I used a ruler and a sharp tool to press down the lines so fold are more smooth. Note that middle line is for folding inside and the little wings at the bottom of the spike are for folding outside
You should have something like this by the end of folding
Step 3
Now you can glue everything together. I prefer glue gun, but you can use any adhesive suitable for your material. Here I've used sellotape because glue gun wasn't ready. Yeah, sometimes I am lazy...
After gluing all together your crown is nearly ready!
At this point I decided to round the ends of the headband. You can skip it and follow the pattern
Step 4
Let's add some kind of fastening to this sparkling beauty. You can go for any option you prefer. For some reason I thought it's a good idea to glue on the ribbon all the way along the headband. It worked tho, but in my second attempt I used silicone elastic and scrapbook pins along with a hot glue and it worked as well
And than I add a bit of security blob of glue to the ends of the headband edges over the ribbon. You can apply your creative skills and find better way to make it work, I almost sure you will do it better!
And voila! You have your own crown! I hope you enjoyed this crafty project and will give me some support during my challenge of #52crowns

One evening, scrolling Insta feed to check nice walking path around my house, I suddenly saw a beautiful snapshot of waterfall and geotag said its only about 2 miles away! I couldn't believe after 5 years living in my town, I never heard about this place. Maybe someone tagged a wrong spot? It turned out it's a real spot just nearby - beautiful Linn Jaw waterfall outskirts Livingston looks like it miles and miles drive somewhere up north.
Next day we went to find exact location with kiddos (there is no exact spot in google maps, but you can start walking from this spot by walking path up in woods and it will lead you to the accurate location about 15 minutes away from road). There is no any parking next to footpath, but there is a little spot to leave your car off the road uphill after bridge. Be careful to approach the waterfall as last few meters are very slippery at wet weather and there is no organized access to the pools and river. However, for me it was 150% worth it!!
Just look at this beauty
The footpath to there is also very beutiful!
After lockdown been lifted, I came back there with my friend Angela and we made a nice Indian themed photoshoot! It wasn't easy considering absence of safe track down to waterfall, but result is great and I appreciate how Angela managed to stay calm and beautiful soaking wet in waterfall.
We started at wee lake with this gorgeous golden sunshine
Than a quick stop at picturesque peat stream with gorgeous ferns
And than waterfall! The good thing about this spot - there are no much people there. So it was easy for me and for Angela to make shots we wanna to take without extra attention

Here is my personal list of places around Livingston (10-15 minutes drive, no further than 10 miles away) that I love and think they deserve to be visited at least once.
1. Dechmont Law UFO trail and Bangour Abandoned Hospital village
Yes, Livingston is famous for not only dead lizards, but also for only one in whole UK case of UFO attack on human that officially been investigated by Scotland yard. You can find more info and map here. It's a nice short walk in woods and there are many blooming sally flowers at the end of July there, so its nice spot for selfies. Plus you can see Edinburgh castle absolutely for free from top of the hill :)
Just across the M8 from Dechmont lawn there is a cool spooky spot - Abandoned hospital village. It been filmed in The jacked - psychological thriller with Adrien Brody in main role. Unfortunately, the Hospital village been turned into development area in June 2020 and I am not sure if its still open for public. Here is some shots I made back in 2018 and 2019. Hope they will keep at least part of the village as it was original.
This magnificent church is stunning! we made a spooky Halloween photoshoot there with Darja.
Here is the pictures
Its full of walking routes and cycling tracks. You can spend a nice picnic there. Especially beautiful when its spring and everything is in bloom. My favorite spot there - covered footpath under the Almondell viaduct
3. Midhope castle, Abercorn church and graveyard and hidden footpath to river Forth
Midhope castle is one of the filming location for Outlander TV series. Nowadays (2020) you need to pay £3 for getting closer to it. But at my taste - the best instagramable spot is just behind the gates. There is nothing inside or around castle, so it's not much to pay for. But you can take a foothpath starting on your right before the gates to the castle. It will take to wee ruined bridge and mansion, and you can walk to beautiful and tranquil Abercorn church with 16th century graveyard. You will find gravestones there with only pictures and no letters as in 15th-16th century no much people could read, so they made pictures to remind who been buried here. It's also another Outlander filming location.
Church and graveyard
4. Linhouse glen and circular , Linn water and Cairns castle
I've discovered Linhouse glen and circular just recently! It is not that much spectacular as more popular places, but I truly enjoyed it! And also brought back home some wild mushrooms.
Linn water and Linn jaw waterfall are also absolutely gorgeous! I will make another full post about the waterfall next time as I made a wee photoshoot there.
Cairns castle is just small ruined tower on a lake edge that seems to be on someone's private land (just at the backyard of the house), so I am not sure if it possible to go into it. It looks dreamy and if you are a photographer the bonus point is that no one there! The reason I put these three spots together is that they all near and in same direction from Livingston. So you can have full day outdoors and no much driving around.
The Circulat and Linhouseglen

5. Cairnpapple hill, Witch craig wall, Ravencraig woods and Torphichen preceptory
Another bunch of curiosities that situated 5 minutes away from each other.
The first on the route - Ravencraig woods which are just after east side of Bathgate. There is a very beautiful alley with old beech trees you drive through and a walking path through the woods and fields linking the track with Cairnpapple hill.
Cairnpapple hill is one of the oldest pagan ceremonial places in Scotland. No wonder Torphcihen church is just near - religions changing, sacred place all the same. There are some standing stones in area too. One circle you will see on your right just before road go downhill after the forest. I haven't found any info on it but there is an access to those stones from the side road.
About 20 minutes walk from Cairnpapple hill you will find Korean war memorial and Witch craig wall and viewpoint. The wall is shelter incorporates 43 rock specimens from locations in Central Scotland which can be seen from this site. Ypu can also find a little curiosity - Refuge stone just. Based a couple of steps from viewpoint - the 12th century slab with cross marks the boundary of Torphichen which was held by the Knights of St John Hospitallers in 1124. And same as with sacred places - this stone was probably recycled from older standing stone. Some of them still could be seen in Torphichen preceptory which is only 5 minutes drive.
Ravencraig woods and Bathgate hills
The beech alley. I made couple of photos there with my friend you can find at this post
The standing stones
The vies from Cairnpapple hill are fantastic! They say when the weather is good you can see Isle of Arran on wets side and Bass rock on east. What I definitely saw - Forth bridges and snow peaks of Highlands

So since last week restriction on parking and staying local for recreational purposes were lifted and I took that chance to escape to the forest. Despite summer and relatively warm weather, it was a rainy day with fog and no winds what making Scottish forests look even more enhanced and magical. I also had my own interest in going to this specific route in Queen Elisabeth Forest Park. I'll tell you later ;)
Aberfoyle cottages on the way to the walking trail near Loch Ard
I have a little hobby and something to cheer up me a bit when needed - I open Google maps and Pinterest and starting to browse spots to go around Scotland. I think I have over 500 spots by now in my bookmarks. Here is a Pintrest board I am keeping some inspiration for travelings. And this daytrip was my birthday escape (lucky me to get restrictions lifted right for my birthday!) and I wanted to see something arty and something natural same time. So Loch Ard Sculpture trail came as a good idea to do both.
Ghost mirror foxes (this what i was looking particularly for, but the other part of this project is completely in different place as we figured out later) by Rob Mulholland
Another one sculpture from trail
Just forest. Its a nice trail, no much steep hills, we done a loop marked red on the map (paper copies available there for free at the stand at forest car park)
Some gifts from nature. This was my other reason to go to this forest - to collect blueberries for home made jam! The mushroom turned to be not edible, however just look how beautiful it is!
Boat houses on the way back from trail
Mail box
10 minutes drove from Loch Ard car park you may find another scenic spot - Little Fawn waterfall accessible from The Lodge forest visitor center (where you also can park for £3 per day, this car park still wasn't working at beginning of July 2020, but there is a tiny free one before the main gates). Waterfall is 10 minutes walk downhill from visitor center, very nice clean path with some sculptures and playgrounds along the way (we haven't used them as it still not permitted tho)
View from visitor center
When nature taking over human's spot
The Little Fawn Waterfall
An here is what i was looking for originally! The Ghost figures of Vestige project by Rob Mulholland. Its very strange experience to notice a human shape out of sight while you walking through woods. And when you trying to spot a decent shape and see a person - your vision is tricked by silhouette of a human and reflective surface. It making you watch as much as you can but not to see what your brain is expected. A proper modern art experience worth to check! I will not tell where is the sculptures exactly, its better for you to discover them on your way by yourself.
Loch Ard and Lodge forest making a nice day trip destination for any weather. I don't think there are many people there in usual times, so worth to go if you like to be around trees more than around people.
]]>So here is a full series of Mia Posing with gorgeous golden roses in her hairs we managed to make at little secret garden in Edinburgh, just a few steps away from roaming waves of sea.

After lockdown was lifted a bit, we decided to take kids to burn their crazy somewhere outdoors and as all our family prefer easy and chill type of day travel, we went to a little town of Elie and beach called Ruby bay (I didn't know the reason of such name at the time) because it was not that far, there was a cozy beach with nearby parking, a small lighthouse and couple of old ruins in area. Also just 5 min drive there is a st. Monans harbor which I remember to be told as a cute area with lots of old houses and boats.
There is no much of fun facts or unusual information about Ruby bay on internet, every blog post is pretty standard. So I just show some of shots I made during the visit. Its really pretty and nice area to spend a sunny day on. But remember it is Scotland, so better to have wind proof jacket anyway. The Ruby bay is quite still and hidden from hight winds, but if you will decide to take a hiking route from St. Monanas to Elie (which includes two ruined castles (Newark and Ardross - they both are pretty much just one wall and couple of basement structures) and old kirk of St. Monans, better to be prepared. I can't remember any single day when there would be no cold and fair strong winds on shores of Northen Sea.
Elie Ness light house is nice tiny lighthouse with white walls and concrete walking bridge situated on the edge of sandy beach. Build in early 20th century,it still operates nowadays.
From Lighthouse there you can see another curiosity - remains of Lady's tower, built around 1760 for Lady Janet Anstruther who used it as bathing house during her swims.
On cliffs level, there is a little chamber just before the tower (if you walk from the Light house) - probably the only one sheltered from wind spot on this side of bay. It was used as changing room by Lady Janet who preferred not to spoil joy of swimming with any clothing. They say, servants used to ring bells when Lady Janet was swimming in the sea so locals could save their lives and stay away from bay. I don't think bells had been going long - the waters are cold even in summer time.
But the most curious thing about the cozy beach that old changing chambers are facing is that you may find there garnet crystals! Very tiny and mostly low grade, but real garnets. That's why this spot is called Ruby bay - since ancient times people been collecting red crystals and mistaken them with rubies. At my opinion, it is still a cool activity - try to find couple of crystals for yourself. I didin't know about that, so went back home without any treasures apart from couple of sea finds.
I also couldn't resist to have a visit to St. Monanans bay to check instgarmable spot of Sea Wall on East pier - unusually shaped concrete structure that running into the sea.
Also there is an old mill 10 minutes walk up north, but I haven't chance to check it. Maybe next time when I will go on hunt for Elie garnets. Streets around pier are just adorable and full of coastal charm. Lovely day trip destination to anyone who likes a mix of follies - natural and man made. Hope to come back soon again.
Just another curiosity I spot along the way to Ruby bay - old abandoned hotel
]]>I have a creative monster inside of me who is ruining my "image" and "business strategy" and telling me - hey, let's create something new, impossible, unusual, let's invest your money in materials no one knows about, let's go against the flow. Maybe that's why I am not a millionaire 😄 I can't drop my creative needs for business needs. I am not good businesswoman, but I claim to be a good artist because I am in constant search of new ways to express my concepts and ideas. I am curios about materials, about recycling, about better ways to make a statement through your style, your art and your way to present yourself to the world.
The balance between making money and making what your soul wants you to do is really important to the point you might set up schedule when you do things that sell and things that fulfill you with joy of making art. Because if you wouldn't follow that inner call - you will turn miserable and sleepless. So it is really one of your top creative needs - to bring your own ideas into life. But on the other hand, we all here to make money.
For myself I resolved this problem in way to set up some lines of spending time and money on projects, that most likely will not have a commercial potential - I make them (and show them around my social media to see the feedback), but not investing in those items more than 20% of my working time and funds allowed to spend on supplies monthly.
It may happen and happened in past, that my art projects got a good respond and been under interest of my customers to buy them. This is the best moments that I have in my business life - moment of real appreciation and feel that I am moving in right direction. Along with moments when I see my creations on customers, involving in their life moments. I guess, that is my main motive - to feel connected to people and help them to feel unique and happy with that. And this is the main reason why small business is very different from corporatism and big industry - it is about people at first place and only than about making money.
I had dedicated my May 2019 to unusual materials and statement hairpieces untypical for my brand. Many more are still in progress and not yet listed to the shop. I let my hands play with supplies and my ideas to get any possible shape without thinking a lot about how will I ship this piece or if my time will give me funds to put food on table. As I said, I am not brilliant in business, but I simply love what I do. And I hope you can feel it 💙
Say hello to new MoonDome creatures

The most elegant color is now in stock of MoonDome shop. It is like having a little black dress, but crown. I need to set up Halloween photo shoot to catch these two beautiful creations in all its glory!
Working with black painted/coated metal is not that easy ast there is a constant risk of scratching the smooth surface. i am always taking extra care while creating crowns as I believe in saying that truly chick pieces are not only beautiful from front side, but on back side two.
I am hsppy with these crowns and will see? if they will still your heart too...

They say, marketing is a skill that let you speak the language of your auditory. From my own experience and my friends stories, I know that most of struggles for new artists, especially when they aim to set up a business, comes from a question - what I represent and how can I state that through my own business style? You see, there is nothing about "what should I produce to be heard" because creations come first, we are already creating them. But if we want to sell them, we need to position yourself on market in specific way, you need to tell your story on language that your followers will understand no matter what language they are speaking in real life. And so, visual channel is leading way to connect with your tribe.
I always see my creations like very flexible in style, modern but with some bohemian twist, fashionable and suitable for many styles. But I know I need to pick up a specific way to represent them and I choose something that felt like important part of my own perception - a bit of magical view, a promise of fairy tale in real life, witchy and chick, natural and bare, but not casual. And so I started to speak that language to my customers because it is their language of symbols, meanings and aesthetic as well.
But I am fascinated about how other artists and photographers use my creations to fit in their own arts. And so I want to share this avantgarde and beautiful series of portraits that are captured by German photographer Dennis Leiding. Check his website and instagram for fashion inspiration. I am really proud with this collaboration and amazed by how Dennis view and photoart had incorporated my jewelry into top fashion accessories. Products are the same and known by you all, but the perception is different. Such a magic!

For some reason I always been after a golden tone materials before summer. I am not much gold person. It feels like "cat or dog" choice - there is no solid reason to prefer one over another, but we all have own tastes and so we go for something we used to like before. Summer time feels like you can play more with accessories, add something new to your look and compromise your own standards. Each time I am creating new collection I think about myself too - if it something I gonna like? How would I wear that new thing? Will it be comfortable and eye catching or modest accessory? There is a joke in psychology that each psychologist that had published theory of personality is basically describing himself and his friends. I guess, jewelry designer are the same - we creating things foe our selves at first place that later become popular among our auditory with similar tastes and values. That is exactly the reason how my brand appeared - I just wanted some beautiful jewelry that wasn't yet made by anyone on actual market.
My summer collection is definitely one of those creations that I will wear by myself simply because I love it so much! Brass golden shine reminds me sun and warmth of summer evenings. Silky tassels - light dresses and breath of a fresh wind in midday in July.
I love silky tassels and I proud to find a suitable natural material that is cruelty free and still gives you that stunning feel and glow of real silk. I made each tassel by hand with viscose thread and I you can be sure that they are unique and and ethically produced. In future I want to focus more on making my products more modern in terms of ethics and ecologically sensible choices - to use more synthetic stones if sourcing of same type of natural ones is making harm to environment.
So if you would like to support ethical and ecological principles, buy from small businesses and indie artists.

Once my husband said to me - don't feel guilty if you want to work on something that is not related to your brand and style, do something new, just for fun. Because there is no growth in any area if there is no new things to appear, new mistakes to learn from and new ideas, no matter how different they are from anything that was before.
And I need to admit he was right.
I have a million and one idea in my head, but always stuck with one simple thing that seems to be impossible to overcome - to find a practical purpose to realize my idea. I know, it sounds strange from someone who is making crowns in 2018 that things should be practical, but that is really a core of my arts - I like them to be made for something, to find their place in real life, rather than be art in sake of art (yep, I am jealous on those who can just go with a flow and make art without any purpose).
This year I wanted to work more on props and new materials. Not much practical stuff, but something new and beautiful. Lucky me, I have friends who always come up with some arty ideas I can put my hands on. And so my very talented photo-magician Darja asked if I can do a very princess and surreal crown for the photoshoot with her sister. I had no idea how I could do that crown, but I said yes. Because without new challenges there is no progress. And right next day I knew exactly what that crown will be looking like and how will I make it.
Another thing I love to do is to create something out of nothings, just with what you can find at your kitchen, craft box and kids room. And so the fantastic crown made of sticks, hot glue, beads and spray paint been born just in one evening. And I absolutely love the result same as the whole process of picking up materials and thinking about the design. One little craft projects turned into beautiful series of magical photos.
So take my hand and come with me through the secret door into hidden garden...

And it is not a a privilege or kitschy taste anymore, it trendy, fashionable and the main thing - it is beautiful! No any obligations for gold anymore, it back to the earth and redy to fit bohemian dresses, minimal and vintage looks, anything you can imagine or dare to wear.
I am absolutely in love with this gorgeous photo shoot from talented Derya Voelzke! I never could imagine the Sunia Golden crown along with brass jewelry from summer 2016 collection could fit bohemian bride so perfectly!

]]>Actually, purple color is very rare among crystals. But amethyst with all its color specter from pale lilac to intense deep purple - is one of the common crystals on the earth. Thanks to a big variety of shades, you barely could find two identical crystals. Especially speaking about Chevron Amethyst - bounded with lighter color stripes. Ant that one is my favorite type for sure. So I was quite exited to put my hands on custom order with beautiful teardrop cabochon of chevron amethyst. And I am very happy with how it terns with wire wrapped frame around gorgeous stone. Not a lot of wire wrapping in my creative life at the moment, so I really have a piece of joy creating this pendant.

.]]>I am mad about how to organize and display my endless collections, and my motto is - the beautiful things must be displayed in beautiful way. I have a whole pin board on Pinteres with storage ideas and beautiful display inspirations for jewelry shops, private collections and craft venues. After some ages spent on craft fairs, it seems to me that I finally found the way to organize my spot in beautiful and costumer friendly way. Because you know, my meaning of beautiful is not always utility focused which is not good at all. Maybe I just love to organize looking windows and sales spots?? There is no any other excuse for me to change my showcase a hundred times, I guess :).
About a month ago a started to look for some beautiful ways to display my crowns and tiaras. I will have a wedding venue soon and the main focus will be on bridal jewelry. And guess what? I had no any idea how to display all my gorgeous creations! I didn't like any of dummy heads I could afford. I know a lots of designers can relate to this, hah. One day I went to my kids room and came across toy earth globe and it was like - evrika! Globes - crystal globes, moon globes, celestial globes - what can be better? Just one thing - vintage globes! More vintage globes, please! I hope, I will find a real vintage globe which will suits me perfectly soon... And I really do hope it will not cost like a half of ours family car, lol.
So here some of my home studio shots in preparation to the wedding fair and it seems to me just perfect. Sorry to be so narcissistic, but just look. Isn't it beautiful combo? love it.
Crystal ball was real pain to make a photo as it reflect everything! But after some manipulations it seems to be nice on pictures. And it also was my child dream - to have that mystical piece at my home. Thank you, my tiny home business for all my dreams coming true!

I like to have those special orders - it is a lots of rush, but you also can feel a drive and excitement of been a little part of someones Big Day. This is the main thing I love about my job and a big honor as well.
Thank you, Kelsey, for sharing photos of your beautiful and elegant wedding with me! I am so pleased with this honor. Wish you both a long and happy life in love and joy!

I know, me too... A long, long time ago.
Photography is a real magic in this world - it keeps beautiful moment forever. I am extremely lucky to have a magical friend, who keeping my memories from year to year. She is very talented, she can see a different word through her camera, because where I see only rural estate she sees magical landscape. Where I see just a pond, she sees a scenic water view. And she is always touching my heart with discovering me in way as I newer can imagine myself be like - she see me beautiful and magical where I can see just another one person. Just... me.
Actually, I never wear any of my crowns foe occasion and that's so unfair. So I pick up couple of them, took my jewelry box and mascara and jumped into a car to see Xenia - my personal magician, for a session of transformations from tired mom into a lake Queen. And when I got photos back, I was like: is it me? really me? I forgot that I can look so beautiful. Lots of us forgot that feeling - lo like yourself, but we should remind ourselves from time to time, that the only time to celebrate life and beauty - is now. And that's why art of photography is existing.
I insist you - open your wardrobe, find pretty dress, cool jeans or new blouse, dig into your makeup bag or hire a makeup artist and give a call to a professional photographer to set up a date to celebrate your beauty, your inner light and magic.
You deserve it, have no doubts!
